Nurturing Support for You and Your Baby in the Early Weeks of Motherhood

The early days and weeks after birth can feel like a whirlwind – beautiful yet exhausting, joyful yet overwhelming. As your postnatal doula, I am here to offer gentle, hands-on support during this precious and transformative time, ensuring you feel cared for, rested, and confident as you recover and adjust to life with your baby.

As your postnatal doula, I offer more than just practical help; I provide a unique blend of nurturing care, emotional support, and holistic healing treatments to help you feel truly held as you navigate early motherhood.

What is a Postnatal Doula?

A postnatal doula provides practical and emotional support to new mothers and families in the weeks following birth. This might mean holding space for your experiences, offering guidance, or simply being there to lighten the load so you can focus on healing and bonding with your baby.

Every mother’s postnatal journey is unique, and my role is to meet you exactly where you are – offering calm, nurturing support without judgement.

How I Can Support You

Whether this is your first baby or your third, I am here to provide:

Emotional Support – A listening ear for birth processing, adjusting to motherhood, or managing feelings of overwhelm.

Physical Recovery – Guidance on postpartum healing, nutrition, and self-care to gently restore your energy.

Infant Care – Help with newborn care, feeding (breast or bottle), bathing, soothing techniques, and building confidence in caring for your baby.

Practical Help – Light housework, meal prep, or running small errands, allowing you to focus on rest and recovery.

Caring for Baby – Holding or soothing your baby while you shower, nap, or simply take a moment for yourself.

Sometimes, having someone there to make tea, hold the baby, and reassure you that you’re doing brilliantly can make all the difference.

Support Tailored to You

Every mother’s needs are different, and our sessions are shaped by what feels most helpful for you. Some days, you may need practical help around the house. Other days, you might just need someone to listen as you process your birth experience. This is your space to feel held and supported.

Kind words

“Choosing Laura to be my postnatal doula has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. She is such a beautiful, intelligent, compassionate, caring soul. Her practical help has been invaluable, from cooking nutritious meals, to helping hold the baby, from keeping my toddler entertained to helping me wash the roughly 327 bottle parts (!), from helping me keep on top of tasks around the house to bringing me cups of tea and hot cacao drinks (addicted).

Then we move onto the emotional support she has provided, her devotion to listening to my worries, concerns, anxieties... her expertise in the mind-body connection, the massages, the relaxation, the meditations, the healing journey. It's been a truly transformative experience to have Laura in my life and I hope our relationship can continue into the future.” - Suzanne

We have had Laura for the first 5 weeks of having our second child. Her doula services have been outstanding. She is very wise and has great listening skills providing very much needed emotional support as we settle into the new family dynamic of 4.

I have loved the Kinesiology treatments for both myself and my newborn. She has managed to get to the root cause of skin issues which were effecting my newborns digestion and a nasty nappy rash through sensitivity testing. Both of which I’m sure a doctor would have prescribed some cream for and we would be non the wiser of what caused it and how to prevent it going forwards. Her holistic approach of treating mother and baby has been so valuable. The treatments as the mother have tied in with my daughter and what’s been coming up each week emotionally and physically. Delivering results each week way beyond what I could have imagined for. It’s meant as a new mother of two I have been able to process tricky emotions through emotional release therapy and linking this to how my physical body has been holding onto these and the issues associated e.g. immune system support, getting rid of candida.

The consistency of having Laura come twice a week for 5 weeks has been invaluable - coming to the end of the fourth trimester I feel I am much more balanced emotionally and physically than I was with my first child. I wish I could have her for longer! Highly recommend Laura! Her bedside manner is also so calming, she is great at looking after my newborn whilst I have been able to nap and she has been getting on with house chores and cooking. What more could you want! - Bridie

Nurture call

I offer a 20-minute nurture call so you can ask any questions you might have and we can get to know each other, and you can decide if I’m the right postnatal doula for you.
