What actually is kinesiology and how do sessions work?
Kinesiology is a natural health care system which uses muscle testing to find out what is going on in the body physically, nutritionally, neurologically and energetically. We find imbalances in the body and use a series of techniques including nutritional therapy, lymphatic massage, emotional work and energy balancing, to bring the body back into balance.
Rather than solely treating symptoms, kinesiology gets to the root cause of these symptoms within your body. It uses the body’s bio-feedback mechanism through gentle muscle testing to enable us to find the quickest and most effective way to restore your health. We uncover where these imbalances are coming from and provide relief from the symptoms, release stress and emotion held in your body, and find out what you really need to re-establish your wellbeing.
Combining coaching and kinesiology
Having trained in both coaching and kinesiology, I offer a unique, integrated therapy which allows me to not only focus on what is physically going on in someone’s body but also I have the skills to be able to work through mental and emotional blockages, and help my clients achieve results in a goal-oriented way. When kinesiology throws something up, we can then coach around this topic.

How do sessions work?
Firstly, we discuss what’s going on with you - how you’re feeling, any pain in your body, any issues you’d like to talk about, any stress that’s occurred. We look at you as a whole person - physically, mentally, chemically, energetically.
You’ll then lie down on the therapy bed and we will test muscles to see where any weakness shows up. All of our muscles are associated with particular areas within our bodies. When we find a muscle weakness, we work on fixing that muscle and bringing the body back into balance.
Fixing can include nutritional testing to find out what vitamins and minerals your body needs, food sensitivity testing, lymphatic massage to stimulate lymph and blood flow, emotional stress release through talking about anything that is causing you stress, acupressure, energy movement to remove blockages.
At the end of the session, you’ll normally have 2-4 supplements you’ll need to take over the next month, possibly a bit of homework around lifestyle changes and we’ll arrange our next session. Normally we will see each other every four weeks. The number of sessions you’ll need is dependent on your health issues and a lot of people like to come back for ‘maintenance’ balancing to keep everything in check.
FAQs
What do I wear to a session?
Treatments are done fully clothed, so wear anything you feel comfortable in. Trousers or leggings are best, try to avoid having bare legs. Wear socks and bring a jumper in case you get chilly.
What do I need to bring to the session?
Any supplements you are currently taking so we can check them.
How quickly will I see results?
This is very much dependent on the health issues that you’ve come to me with. Most people feel a difference after the first session. It is also dependent on if you follow my advice and take the nutritional supplements recommended to you.
What are the costs?
You can find my pricing in the ‘book a session’ section on my website. On top of the appointment cost, you will need to pay for the supplements recommended for you. I can order these for you at the end of the session as I get a discount, if preferred. Supplements normally cost between £10 and £25 per bottle.
What about cancellation?
I kindly ask you to give me 48 hours notice if you need to cancel. If you cancel within 24 hours, I ask you to pay for the full treatment cost to cover any expenses incurred and my time.
What is your protocol around Covid-19?
Guidelines are sent to you prior to your first appointment.
