REST: A nervous system reset for mums to be

A gentle, restorative workshop designed to support your nervous system through the unique journey of pregnancy. Together we’ll soften stress, calm your body, and cultivate inner stillness as you prepare for birth and early motherhood.

This 90-minute escape is crafted with love and care, giving you a space to exhale, rest, and feel deeply nourished. Whether you are in your first pregnancy or your fourth, this is your time to pause, ground, and connect with your changing body.

This pregnancy-focused workshop also introduces calming rituals you can carry into labour, feeding, and the early days with your baby—anchoring you in practices that bring ease and strength.

What to Expect: You’ll be guided through a soothing blend of therapeutic practices to release tension, regulate your nervous system, and prepare for the next chapter of motherhood.

Somatic Movement: Gentle, pregnancy-safe movement to soften tension, relieve aches, and help you land fully in your body.

Facial Massage & Acupressure: Simple touch-based techniques to release stress, encourage relaxation, and support balance in pregnancy.

Emotional Stress Release Techniques: Practical tools to ease anxiety and create emotional calm, especially helpful for birth preparation and the fourth trimester.

Lymphatic Massage: Gentle techniques to support circulation, reduce swelling, and help your body feel lighter and more balanced.

Restorative Yoga Nidra: A guided deep rest practice, equivalent to hours of sleep, giving both you and your baby the benefits of profound relaxation.

Why REST? Pregnancy can be as overwhelming as it is beautiful. Your body is working harder than ever, your nervous system is adapting, and moments of stillness can feel rare. REST is your invitation to slow down, nurture your body, and connect with your baby in a deeply supportive way.

You don’t have to “earn” this rest—you are already worthy of it. And please remember that when you become mummy!

A much-needed 90 minutes of calm - so far removed from the juggling act of Mum life that I practically floated out of the door afterwards! It was the reset my nervous system had been crying out for and I’ve come away with some gentle yet practical stress-relieving tools to use when I just need a moment to slow down.

I would love for your work to become an integral part of the postpartum journey as it is so essential and (in my case) not something I really considered until much further down the line.

  • Go for comfy and warm. Bring a jumper and wear some socks. As we will be using some facial oil, I recommend coming fresh faced and don’t worry about washing your hair before the class either!

  • An eye mask if you’d like to wear one for the Yoga Nidra. An extra blanket from home to snuggle into (one blanket will be provided). A water bottle. Your pregnancy pillow.

Laura’s REST workshop was incredible. I don’t think I have ever felt so calm and relaxed and it really allowed me to escape from the everyday worries that come with being a mother. The environment Laura created was so tranquil, serene and calm and the session was delivered beautifully. I felt so at ease for the entirety of the class as Laura has such a kind and welcoming presence. Every mama deserves to experience this class, it really was a little piece of paradise.
